Older systems are becoming harder tomaintain and most costly due to energy cost. Many of the older applications are readilybeing replaced with more efficient infrastructures. Instead of upgrading older systemscompanies are building systems from the ground up at cheaper cost. Organizations thatfail to commit to the going green changes risk profit loss, customer and public relationscriticism.Changing to new systems can present certain risk associated with new untestedproducts. Production may be slow do an organization ability to adapt to more advancedsystems. Employees can experience learning curves as newer systems are implemented.Failure to comply with the demands of the business market will contribute to profit losesand customer dissatisfaction. Inferior systems will force many customers to focus oncompetitor businesses that offer more user friendly options.
