Plagiarism Checker

Make sure your paper is yours before you hand it in

Paste your essay or write it in CramX and run a check. You get a similarity score and the passages that match existing sources, so you can rewrite them or add the citation you forgot.

  • 50 free points
  • 10 points a check
  • No card needed

Why students use it

Catch problems while you can still fix them

  • A clear similarity score

One number that tells you how much of your text overlaps with existing sources, and what that level usually means.

  • Matching passages flagged

The passages that match other sources are pointed out, so you know exactly which sentences to look at.

  • Fix it with a citation

Most accidental plagiarism is a missing citation. Add the source in APA, MLA, Chicago or Harvard from the same editor.

  • AI-writing check alongside

Run the AI detector on the same draft for a second view before you submit.

  • Private to you

Your draft stays in your account. Checking it does not add it to a public library.

  • Check again after edits

Rewrite, cite, and check again until the score and flagged passages look right.

How it works

From draft to confident submission in three steps

  1. Step 1

    Add your draft

Paste your essay into a new paper, or open one you are writing in CramX.

  2. Step 2

    Run the check

Get a similarity score and the passages that match other sources.

  3. Step 3

    Fix and recheck

Rewrite in your own words or add the missing citation, then check again.

FAQ

Plagiarism checker questions

Writing the paper too? The AI writer runs both checks as you go.

How does the plagiarism checker work?

It compares your text against existing sources and returns a similarity score along with the passages that match, so you can review each one.

How much does a check cost?

Each check costs 10 points, and new accounts get 50 free points. Premium plans include unlimited checks.

What similarity score is acceptable?

There is no universal cut-off, and quotes you have cited properly will still show as matches. Look at each flagged passage: cite it, quote it, or rewrite it in your own words. Your instructor’s policy is the final word.

Will checking my essay make it public?

No. Your draft stays private to your account and is not published to the CramX library.

Can it tell me if text was written by AI?

That is a different check. Use the AI detector on the same draft to see which passages read as AI-generated.

Submit with confidence, not crossed fingers

Run your draft through a check before the deadline, while there is still time to fix it.
