Most of the characters in this novel are static. Jordan Baker represents a rather static character since her behaviour doesn't change throughout the first half of the story. Tom Buchanan is another static character because he tends to stay with his opinionated personality. He is portrayed as a typical rich man who cheats on his wife continuously.
