Network+ N10-009 Network Components
A client is the end-user device—such as a workstation, laptop, smartphone, or tablet—that requests services or resources from servers in a network. It initiates communication but typically does not supply the service itself.

Media | In networking, it refers to the physical materials used to transmit data. |
