Network+ N10-009 Network Port Fundementals
A network port is a logical endpoint in a computer's operating system that identifies a specific process or service for communication. Each port is assigned a unique 16-bit number (0–65535) and works with transport layer protocols like TCP or UDP to direct data to the appropriate application. Ports enable multiple applications to share a single network connection without interference.
