Eisenhowersigned into law theFederal-Aid Highway Act of 1956.According to the Department of Transportation (2014)theInterstate System has been a part ofour cultureas construction projects, as transportation in our daily lives, and as an integral partof the American way of life” (para 1).Political Nature of ConstructionConstruction is a volatile industry that is sensitive to economic short comings, which cancome from inflation and poor financial decision that are brought on from the public. During theearly 2000’s; shortly after the bombing of the New York Twin Towers;ourcountry enteredintoa war with Iraq. As the country was at war our government was busypromoting businesses tohire workers, which in turn promoted growth in other industries because now more people wereat work and were able create discretionary income for within there households. This allowedconsumers such as me to have a little more buying power.Also credit was easier to come by;therefore people began to invest in the “American Dreamby purchasing homes.The sub-industry of construction is the Housing Industry.When the housing industry demand increasedso did construction jobs. Homes were beingconstructedeverywhere andat an astounding rateevenolderapartments were being converted into condo style homes.According toFernández-Solís(2008)The most critical decisions by stakeholders are affected by the disposition orattitude towards what eventually becomes the project's driving principle-cost, value or quality-
