A successful workplace has to have a great staff working to help it move forward. Success will be reachable and achievable when all five functions are taken seriously and applied into the business as a team effort. The first function is planning; Owners and managers use planning to choose appropriate business goals and identify the right course of action to reach their goals (Reilly, Minnick, & Baack, 2011). It takes careful planning to make any business run at its fullest capacity and achieve the goals set. Implementing planning is part of every management function it is the foundation to build a productive business. Without careful planning, and structure, a business cannot survive. He let everyone know planning was an ongoing process and plans will take time to implement into the business. The owner coordinated the proposals and was the overseer of the plans, but included all involved to understand the plan and make sure that they are completed effectively. Communicating as a team receiving feedback on these goals it was agreed as a team they are reachable. MANAGEMENT PRACTICES
