Strategies for Success in Math: Resources, Techniques, and Problem - Solving Approaches Completed Week 2 assignment and scored 100% Week #2 Discussion Questions 1. What resources are available to help you do well in this course? Which resources do you think will help you the most? Why? How do you plan to use the resources available to optimize your learning over the next four weeks? These days there are various resources to help a student learn math better, such as Math lab, live tutoring, e - book chapters, online communities, videos in the weekly materials section, "Show Me an Example", or "Help Me Solve This" buttons, which break down problems that you may be having difficulty with and many more. The math lab and online tutoring help me the most besides the live classes in math, which was a very difficult subject to understand some time ago. But thanks to these resources that I understand math better and hope to master the subject in days to come. The videos and the YouTube are great help to me when in need, as they help me learn better. I feel math is just a click away and I learn math easily. The most important one is My Study Plan, which can highlight certain concepts I am struggling with in the homework and Self Checks. Math help is available 24/7 which is a great help to me in my learning the most difficult subject in my academics and these resources have helped me master over the subject. Besides all these I plan to put in hard work solving the equations which I still don’t understand and take all the help from these resources. 2. Can a linear equation and a linear inequality be solved in the same way? Explain why. What makes them different? Yes, we solve linear inequalities the same way we solve linear equations. When solving a linear equation, the answer obtained is called the solution. When solving an inequality, the answer is called the solution set. Example: 20=5x x=4
