An electronic device does calculations on data, and thus present the result to other devices or its users in various ways is known as a computer. The computer comprises of both the hardware’s as well as the software’s required to make the functioning of the computer possible. Computer hardware is the corporeal part of a computer, which includes the digital circuitry, as eminent from the computer software that does its executions inside the hardware. Computer software is a common term used to explain an anthology of computer programs, procedures and documentation that execute some task on a computer system. The five major functions or operations performed by a computer irre spective of their size and make are as follows 1. Input: This is the procedure of inflowing data and programs in to the processor system. A computer is an electronic machine similar to every other appliance which takes raw data as input and carries out some dispensation generating the processed data. Consequently , the input unit takes data from us ers to the computer system in a prearranged format for processing. 2. Storage : This is the procedure of saving data and a command undyingly is k nown as storage. Data has to be stored into the system previous to the real dispensation begin s. This is for the reason that the dispensation pace of Central Processing Unit (CPU) is so rapid that the data has to be available to CPU with the equivalent pace. Thus the data is initially stored in the storage space part for quicker access and dispensation . This storage space part or the main storage of the computer system is premeditated to do the above functionality. Space is provided to store data and instructions. The major functions performed by t he storage unit are as follows
