Program Solution ProposalIntroductionUnit 121hasamilitary flag footballteamhere at Yongsan-Garrison located inSeoul South Korea.This is part of a base flag football team that maintains scores and afairly accurate account of schedules, wins and losses.The football league is made up ofseveral units throughout the military installation and neighboring bases andplayersmostlyvolunteer. Although allunits donot havea teamthe ones thatwere able toorganize a team comprised16individualteams.ProblemTheteams are cleared to have uniforms purchased at their own expense butother equipment is supplied from military recreationand its equipment manager. Thisequipment includes balls, field markings, scoreboard, flags and uniforms for teams thataren’t equipped. Military recreation also supplies therefereesand othermiscellaneousitems used for game play.The equipment manager is accountableforsupplyingtheequipment as well asschedulingand keepingtally of the wins and losses of theteams.Yearlyequipment is lost,damaged or missing of some sort and new equipment must beordered to satisfy demand. This means ordering from several locations to find the bestpriceas well as suppliesfor the military.Ordering equipment from various sources means equipment does not alwaysreachmilitary recreationon-time. There has beenan instancewhere equipment was notreadily available for players and therefereeswould have to allow certain informalities tooccur like players playing with no flags or wrong jerseys.
