E XPERIMENTATION RESEARCH  In experimentation research the researcher is able to control variables by applying treatments to subjects. Afterwards they are able to observe the relationship and effect the treatment has on the subject.  Field experiments – Conducted in a natural environment using controlled situations.  Lab experiments – Conducted in an artificial environment which provides additional controls to eliminate variables.
