Introduction.  Public Health is a sensitive body in our healthy lives. It promotes and offers strategic and well planned solutions for both present and future health issues, environmental problems and even general behavior that affect the well being of people and their environment.  This presentation is going to present in detailed how Chronic Diseases have been researched and analyzed by public health departments in the United States. It gives how the research is conducted, processed, analyzed and how this information is used to prevent future occurrence of these diseases.

Chronic Diseases  When we talk of Chronic Diseases most people think of diabetes, cancer and the likes.  The term chronic disease generally refers to such diseases which are ongoing and incurable such as asthma, diabetes, cancer and the rest.  Research has it that these diseases kill 7 in every 10 deaths yearly. It accounts up to 86% of the total health cost in the US.  This has led to a crucial need for research to reduce this fast rate of this disease in the US. Center for Disease Control have established Public Health research body to conduct research and try to manage the fast spread of this Chronic Diseases in the US.

Problem Statement  These disease, however deadly they are they can be prevented or managed. This is achieved through early detection, observing diet and lifestyle, undergoing early treatment therapy and even doing exercise to keep fit.  Chronic diseases have registered the highest number of deaths yearly with a huge cost of prevention and attending to patients.  This has led to high health cost in the US thus raising the economy of the country and also killing huge number of citizens who could have worked to improve the economy of the country.
