    Introduction  Autism spectrum disorder(ASD) and autism are both general terms for a group of complex issues of mental health. (Speaks, 2011)  Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder described by debilitated social interaction, verbal and non - verbal communication, and limited and repetitive behaviour .  While autism is profoundly heritable, analysts suspect both environmental and hereditary components as causes.  A ll autism disorders were converged into one umbrella diagnosis of ASD. previously, they were perceived as distinct subtypes, including autistic disorder, childhood disintegrative disorder, pervasive developmental disorder - not otherwise specified (PDD - NOS) and Asperger disorder . (Lord et al., 2000)
