Describe three (3) reasons users arestill frustrated with modern applications.Answer:The various reasons for the users’ frustration are as follows:Errors:The users normally find theerrors to be frustrating.Whenusers perceive that somethingis in an incorrect state, then errors produce frustration regardless of the fact that it can be due totheirfault.Therearemanythingsthatcouldcauseuserstobefrustratedlikepop-upadvertisements, viruses, and spam mail even if a computer is operating in a correct state.Whensomething in the computing system is not providing the desired outcome, the users getfrustrated as theyare therefore unable to reach their task goals. This might be due to a hardwareor software failure. On the other hand, an error might be caused by the actions of users, forexample, users eitherenterscommands in an incorrect mannerorchoose the wrong commands toreach their task goals like spelling errors(Ceaparu, 2003).Application Complexity:There are several new terms which are difficult to comprehend and thusmake the users frustrated. The users get frustrated from the jargon also. The users may do nothave appropriateknowledge of how to operate an application which make them frustrated whileaccessing the complex applications. The users find difficulty in accessing complex applicationslike HTML, graphics, and database programs unlike the other applications like java and JSPwhich are easily understood by the users. Thus, these complex applications may present toughchallenge to the users. But, some applications have manuals in them which guide the users howto access the respective application.
