    Q: May I use SSAT drills even though I am taking the ISEE (or ISEE drills even though I am taking the SSAT)? A: While the tests are similar with respect to content, there are differences in emphasis, how certain questions and answers are constructed, and (of course) some question types. Even so, if you are looking for additional practice, you may follow these guidelines: ® If you are taking the SSAT, skip Sentence Completion drills and Quantitative Comparison questions. ® If you are taking the ISEE, skip Analogies questions. ® Use drills from the “other” test for content support, but remain aware that you may not see questions quite like those on the real test. e If a question from the “other” test seems quite different from anything you have seen while practicing for your test, it likely will not appear on the real test. Don't forget that the SSAT deducts one- fourth of a point for wrong answers, while the ISEE does not. Q: Can I use this book for the Middle Level SSAT or Middle Level ISEE? A: While this book is designed for Upper Level students— and therefore contains harder questions that would appear only on an Upper Level test—you may certainly use this

However, you should consult other resources, such as those described below, to determine whether certain types of questions would actually appear on a Middle Level Test. Q: How do I learn about the structure and content of the SSAT or ISEE? A: As the purpose of this book is to provide practice questions and explanations, it assumes you are familiar with the content and structure of the test you are taking, as well as the process for registering for that test.
