    Team Summary/Role Play 2 Becky - The term system theory is a theoretical and methodological practice. With these practices comes a wide range of different disciplines. For Social workers he or she uses the system theory to gain a better understanding of family dynamics. Social workers also use this theory to educate and further a healthy family structure. Some of the areas of social work uses this type of theory is research methodology, mental health, family, and policymaking. The systems theory as a research methodology can aid a social worker in how to create a positive change and bring out improvement of standards of living. Mental health professionals use this theory as a way to understand how to aid individuals in finding a healthy way to cope with his or her environment. Next are families social workers use the system to obtain a better understanding of family dynamics and educate them on a healthy family structure. Policymaking uses the systems theory to understand the social dynamics. Social workers who are concerned with this can use the theory to achieve a better understanding on how public policy is used to improve living conditions. Social workers utilizing systems theory view societies and social groups as dynamic systems. They are concerned with bettering the conditions of the individuals who make up such systems (Flamand, 2010). Eunice - Systems theory focuses on family therapeutic and techniques. Social workers, counselors, and psychologists observe family relationships and the interactions family members have with each other. The systems approaches have on families are that each family is unique and different according to ages, gender, personal characters, and relationships each member has with each other , and the effective approaches these techniques have on all members.
