     The state of California is one of the many U.S states.  It is governed by the legislations of the federal government as well as its own legislations.  It has its own government independent from the federal government.

     The Californian legislature is open to all citizens of U.S and California.  There is no gender discrimination since the elective posts are open to all citizens.  The age factor matters such that only those who are over 18 years of age are eligible to vie for elective posts 
