    Correlational a nd Experimental Research Designs  Describe two scenarios where you will use correlational research. Explain why experimental research cannot be used in those scenarios. The first scenario that could be considered is “people who are heavy drinkers get lower grades in their college”. In this scenario an experimental design is not possible and hence the data points that would be collected for research would be more focused on the correlational aspect of the drinking habit and the grades that they get in college. Eventually the result of the research would show that drinking would lead to lower grades as the possible deduction has not be ruled out. It is possible that drinking is correlated to grades, but that would be the executional aspect of the research (Wiscedu, 2015) . Similarly the second scenario would be a research that people who were ill - treated as a child would eventually become a child abuser. In this case as well experimental design is not possible and hence correlation design for research will have to be done (Wiscedu, 2015) .  Describe two scenarios where you will use experimental research. Explain why correlational research cannot be used in those scenarios. First scenario which could be considered for experimental research design would be people prefer mobile app rather than website using laptops or desktops. In this type of research segments and the variables such as mobile app usage could be altered to see the effect on the research study. The different groups that could be focused could be as per the needs of usage pattern. The second scenario that could be considered for experimental research would be, “professor decides to teach the students using a different methodology and check whether the technique
