    Introduction: This study interested to establish some linear and non - linear relationships between the variables under study to predict and explain the variations among the GPA scores of students based on the explanatory variables SAT scores, hours of STUDY, and hours of WORK. The SAT score of a student is having a positive relationship with GPA score. The students with higher SAT scores in general also got higher GPA and vice versa. The number of hours spent on STUDY is having a positive relationship with GPA score. If STUDY increases then the GPA also increases and vice versa. The number of hours spent on WORK is having a negative relationship with GPA score, since the increase in hours of WORK obviously decreases the hours on STUDY so as the GPA. If WORK increases then the GPA decreases and vice versa. Hypothesis to be tested: The hypotheses to be tested in this study are, Null Hypothesis: The overall regression is not significant. Versus Alternative Hypothesis: The overall regression is significant. and Null Hypothesis: The regression coefficient of i th explanatory variable is not significant. Versus Alternative Hypothesis: The regression coefficient of i th explanatory variable is significant.

    Variables under Study: The variables interested under study are listed below: 1. GPA (Grade Point Average) – Explained Variable in this study. 2. SAT (Scores of Scholastic Aptitude Test) – Explanatory Variable in this study. 3. STUDY (No. of hours of study) – Explanatory Variable in this study. 4. WORK (No. of hours of work) – Explanatory Variable in this study. A fictitious data containing 50 observations on each of the variables was generated for this analysis. Appendix contains data used for this study. Table 1 contains the Correlation Matrix for the variables under study. It indicates that the pairs of variables (GPA, WORK), (SAT, STUDY), (SAT, WORK), and (STUDY, WORK) possess a significant correlation between them. Table 1
