Examples ne … pas (not) • Je ne parle pas. → I do not speak. ne … jamais (never) • Elle ne conduit jamais. → She never drives. ne … personne (nobody) • Je ne vois personne. → I see nobody. ne … rien (nothing) • Je ne comprends rien. → I understand nothing. ne … plus (no longer) • Il ne travaille plus. → He no longer works. ne … que (only) • Je n'ai que dix euros. → I only have ten euros. ne … ni … ni (neither … nor) • Je ne veux ni café ni thé. → I want neither coffee nor tea. 3.
